Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a) Practitioner PD for FAB Members and Families

Join us for the upcoming Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a) Practitioner 2-Day Professional Development Course for Bundaberg FAB (Family & Baby Network) Members, Parents & Caregivers: 9:00am - 4:00PM: Day 1 - Saturday 7th September, Day 2 - Saturday 14th September 2019 at The Generator, Bundaberg.

Learn how to use 3a strategies including Conversational Reading, Enriched Caregiving, Learning Games and Language Priority throughout the day with children aged 0-5 years to support the development of cognitive, communication, social-emotional and motor skills in early childhood. Explore how to support parents as first teachers of their children utilising the 3a approach.

The Abecedarian Approach is an evidence-based set of teaching and learning strategies developed by Prof. Joseph Sparling and Prof. Craig Ramey for use by families and professionals caring for children aged 0-5 years in arrange of setting including at home, in the community, family day care, long day care, kindergarten, playgroup and outreach settings.

Course cost $290 includes 2-day training resources, certification exam fee, morning tea & lunch.

Maximum of 16 participants per course.

Wonder Play sessions are designed to be an intimate experience between a parent and a child aged 0-5years old. For this reason, we ask each parent to bring only one child with them to each Wonder Play session. 
Expectant Parents are also welcome to attend.
There are only 10 parent-child places available per session so get in fast!

Let's Get Ready - Bundaberg

These school holidays take the kids along to Alexandra Park for a special 'Let's Get Ready' themed event.

Bundaberg Regional Libraries First 5 Forever Program, along with Wide Bay Kids, is hosting a fun event in the park aimed at helping families feel prepared for their ids first days at kindy or prep in 2018.

There will be lots of fun experiences on offer including:-

* Dinosaur Yoga - stretch your body and stand up tall, be a yoga dinosaur!
* Play fun games that move your body - up, down and around!
* Sing songs and make music with drums, flutes and guitars!
* Dress up and play Drs - see how your body grows!
* Make your own lunchbox treats at the pop-up tuckshop!
* Explore the park - what can you see, hear and find?

This free family event is open to everyone, especially those families who have children starting kindy or prep in 2018.
